STAN HORNE Manchester City Interviews

    • Soccer

Stan Horne joined Manchester City in the 1960s, to play his part in the great Joe Mercer and Malcolm Allison team. In 1968, he won the First Division title with the club - but hadn't played enough games to automatically qualify for a medal. In 2020, the Football League announced they were falling into line with the Premier League by reducing the threshold to five games, meaning Horne would now get his honour - more than 50 years after winning the title. The Blue Moon Podcast's David Mooney spoke to him soon after the news broke to find out how he was feeling.
