Dr. Doty is a professor on the faculty of the Stanford University where he founded and is the director of the Stanford Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education (CCARE) of which His Holiness the Dalai Lama is the founding benefactor. He is also a neurosurgeon and neuroscientist, he’s an Army veteran, an inventor, a philanthropist, and an author and i just found out today, he’s ALSO a podcast host … his book and his podcast are both entitled Into the Magic Shop and the book has received positive reviews from His Holiness, the Dalai Lama, Thich Nhat Hanh, Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ariana Huffington, Rick Hanson, and Deepak Chopra just to name a few!  He’s also got a new book and a mental health app coming out too!
