Episode notes

In this episode, I focus on what to do when facing uncertainty, aka the unknown, aka the “Void.” My hope is to move us out of fear-based thinking and into embracing this time as an opportunity for personal and spiritual growth and creativity. I discuss the importance and value of choosing acceptance, courage, and curiosity when confronted with uncertainty, and then offer three key practices to navigate these challenging times: meditation, journaling, and connecting with something greater than oneself.

EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Uncertainty is a common experience in life, whether due to career changes, personal transitions, or global concerns.
  • Embracing uncertainty can lead to increased aliveness, alertness, and creativity.
  • The concept of the "Void" represents a period of change and transformation, where old expectations and assumptions are leveled to make space for new possibilities.
  • Resisting or rushing through the Void can prolong the period of uncertainty and turmoil.
  • Meditation serves as a grounding practice to connect with one's inner power and reduce anxiety.
  • Journaling, specifically the practice of "Morning Pages," can help release thoughts, fears, and concerns.
  • Believing in something greater than oneself, whether it's termed as Source, the Universe, or a spiritual connection, provides support and comfort during uncertain times.
  • Trusting in the unseen and embracing the potential for positive change within the Void can lead to a more hopeful and creative outlook on life's uncertainties.
